RK-3108 Oily Organic Silicon Antifoam Agent

Polysiloxane compound with hydrophobic particles.

Characteristics and Advantages : 

Excellent defoamability and foam inhibition, suitable for oil-based systems and solvent-free systems to eliminate microfoam; good resin compatibility, does not affect the gloss, has little effect on the recoating, and improves leveling; good versatility, applicable to a variety of resins, inks and coatings systems.

Overview : 

     This product is made of modified silica and silicon dioxide compounds, with excellent defoaming and foam inhibition, suitable for oil-based systems and solvent-free systems to eliminate microfoam.

     Appearance (visual inspection) Translucent to turbid liquid.

     Viscosity (mPa.s) 200-550

     Non-volatile fraction (150℃/3h,%) 98±2%.

Solubility : Aromatic solvents

Application fields : epoxy resins, unsaturated polyester resins, screen printing inks, UV-curable inks, etc.

Usage : 

      The product is thixotropic due to the easy precipitation of hydrophobic particles. It is normal that the viscosity tends to increase after a long period of time or at low temperatures, and it is recommended that the product be stirred well before operation in order to achieve the desired effect.

Recommended dosage : The recommended dosage of this product is 0.1-1% (according to the total formula,) it is recommended to test before use to determine the best use and dosage.

Storage and Transportation :

       Transported as non-hazardous chemicals. Store in a cool, dry place, airtight. Shelf life: 12 months. 

When storage time exceeds the shelf life, it is necessary to recheck the relevant properties of the product before use.
